15x7 24mm offset, 225/45/15, will it rub?
 

Its getting close to decision time for me for some track wheels and tires. I'll be getting some coilovers and will have fully independant camber adjustment front and rear. I'll be running some 225/45/15 R's (probably Toyo RA-1's). I'm thinking about getting some Mustang wheels, which are 15x7 with a 24mm offset. The reason I'm considering them is that they're rediculously cheap (under $100 for 4) and they aren't that heavy (~16lbs). I'm not concerned with the weight, I'm not racing, so I can accept a small performance reduction for a large price reduction.

I plan on changing the alignment and height for the track, so it'll have plenty of camber and a fairly low ride height when on track. It's an FC, the spring rates will be 8kg/mm (~450lb/in) front and 6kg/mm (~335lb/in) rear springs, RB front bar, stock or no rear bar (I think, I'll play around with bars to help with balance). I'm prepared to roll fenders if needed, but I'd like to avoid it if possible.

So what do you think, will it rub and will I have to roll the fenders?

It'll be close. You will probably need to roll the front fenders(depending on ride height). Mine are 35mm with a 3/16 spacer all around. FWIW, the rear springs are a tad stiff for me. (maybe 250-300) YMMV.

Thanks, I know they're a little stiff compared to what most ITS cars run, but that's what the coilovers I'm looking at come with, and my car's a lot heavier than an ITS car. For the balance I'm thinking that with camber and sways that I can find balance.

More oppinions? Any first hand experiance with this sort of offset?
