Ok. I need to understand several things.
First is the base duty cycle. If I set it to 70%. So it starts with 70% and see if it needs to be corrected up or down? If boost at current time is low, then it will increase the duty cycle, then if boost is higher than target it will decrease the duty cycle. Am I correct? Please correct me if wrong. I am trying to understand.

Thus, looking at the graph above, it shows that the primary and secondary duty cycle is not high enough, because PFC has to move the PC% and WG% higher on each cycle.

Second question:
TCA solenoid does not really have duty cycle, it just open the flow to secondary at transition, to allow more flow to secondary turbo. Is that right?

Third question:
What do you mean by "The base tuning will have some dampening at the switchover point"?

Thank you....
Reza

Also think about changing the TCA solenoid. The base tuning will have some dampening at the switchover point-definately 1 or 2 psi. With better tuning you can take that out and get it where there is really no drop.

#1 you are correct. You understand boost!

#2 TCA just opens the door for the secondary turbo. You are correct again. However if that event is too you will lose of power.

#3 The base tuning is set so you don't detonate at the transistion. This is accomplished via fuel and timing. Way too conservative.

Aha...too conservative...means too much fuel...Now I would need a good boost pattern to start with then put on wideband o2 to star tuning the maps...
Thank you......I need to do more boost runs now...

You need to due some boost runs and consider changing that TCA solenoid. I'd almost put money on that thing being bad.

spyfish...

I did a lot of tuning, mostly on the fuel side. I am now using 7.07 map then pulled a lot of fuel from idle cruise portion, disable O2 control. change boost transition to 3760 and 4080, so it switch back to primary quickly.

But, I still have that boost problem where the transition dip to 5/6 psi. This is annoying, and it even shows up in the AFR as rich for those two cell 4000 and 4400. Strangely it logged in P17. That means the dip is not even seen by the ECU, but definitely by my butt and the AFR.

You kept on mentioning TCA solenoid, do you mean the solenoid that control the actuator, or the actuator itself?
Actually there are two solenoid for this TCA, one on pressure side and one vaccum side. Which one usually the problem?

I ment the TCA electric solenoids. I would look at pressure solenoid first.

Timing is a concern as well. AFRs can definately be related to timing. Have you advanced the timing at all?

I have not playing with timing. A bit scared to do that as I just start doing this a month or so ago.
The goal is to have good response and acceleration in 2nd gear. So whatever could be done to smooth out power output is helpful.

I need to start reading on changing timing soon. All I know now is the timing between 5.08 and 7.07 map is totally different...no corelation at all...
