rookie here on power fc

Sorry guys, Im kind of embarrased about this but, I know nothing about power fc's and very confused right now reading all the threads. Can someone start me on some basics? So what use is the power FC commander for besides displaying the vital signs, can you actually tune with it? Laptop is required to tune? What are FC tunes? How is the datalogit connected to it?

RTFM, you can download them from Apexi's website!

For datalogit info, go to www.fc-datalogit.co.nz. If you are embarrassed, spend a little effort before posting such a generic thread. Just my 2 cents.

Yes, you can tune using the Commander, but the Datalogit is much easier and gives you more access to tuning options. You need a laptop with the Datalogit. You will need a wideband o2 sensor setup for tuning also.

The manual explains what can be adjusted or monitored with the Commander.

If that does not help, find someone locally who understands how engines work and have them teach you basic modern engine theory of operation.

I know thoery of operations, but due to the sensitive nature of tuning a rotary I want to know as much as i can even as non tuner, Ill leave it to the most experience rotary tuner. Right now i was just asking for fundamentals on the power fc, datalogit box, wideband o2's, and etc. Im sure knowing modern engine theory of operation is not enough to establish a tuner. Thanks rynberg that helps alot.
