PFC and wideband sensor
 

I know this might be a really stupiud question but, Can you repalce the stock o2 sensor with a wideband sensor and have the PFC/comm use it and monitor the readings?

The wideband O2 sensor will fit and may work for a short time before it overheats.

Well let me clarify soemthing, it would be placed down stream, at the end of the dp.

Yes if you use the 1volt lamda output to go to the PFC and the 5volts to the AFR meter.

But I cannot read it off of the commander?

no, it requires a 0-1v signal

I was thinking about this and actually I think you CAN do this. If you get a wideband like the Innovate LM-1, you can program it's output to be whatever you want. If you set it up right, you can use a regular voltmeter to display the AFR, as long as you don't mind ignoring where the decimal point is. For example, a reading of 0.10 might be 10:1. You would just need to be sure to turn off O2 feedback so that the PFC doesn't try to use this arbitrary number, and the other pain is that you have to try to read the itty-bitty number on the sensor screen since O2 isn't an option on the monitor window.

I was actually speaking of using a wideband o2 sensor inplace of the stock (but further down).
