PFC tuning question
 

Ok heres the deal I just bought some performance upgrades for my FD witch include PFC with commender downpipe, midpipe intake and a fuel pump.
The PFC already comes pretuned for the DP,MP,CB intake front mount and the fuel pump and std??? turbos thats what the guy told me.
My question is I dont have the front mount and I am runing stock twins will that pretune work for me or will I have to get it retuned once more so it would work the guy sead it comes tuned for 12psi and I just need 10.

You should be ok but there are improvements that can be made in the PFC if you get someone knowledgabe to set it up for you; there are just so many variables that might land you in a bad situation it's impossible to be sure everything will be fine. My biggest worries would be boost creep if you combo a catback with the dp and mp, a screwup in the fuel pump install that leans out the motor, a screwup in the install of the other goodies or some inherent problem with your existing setup that goes unnoticed and then boom later.

Of course there's the everpresent widespread issue of spending thousands of bucks on performance mods to your car only to have it run like crap because you want to save a few bucks on getting the PFC setup and tuned. Even a couple of hours to rough tune it will pay dividends on power and driveability plus you will have some assurance against premature motor failure if something is not quite right.

well that is my goal to get it tuned but I need to get it to my mechanic in Rock hill and I just dont feel like paying him to put the parts on when I casn do it myself so just needed to know if i would be able to drive 70 miles to get it tuned up.

install the pfc itself is only a 10 minute job.. tuning it is the expensive part..why dont u leave it off untill u take it to your mechanic?
