PFC and emissions subsystems? (ACV, EGR, AWS, etc)

1) My understanding is that the PFC install requires that wires in the stock ECU connector for AWS, EGR, and "split air" be cut or otherwise left disconnected. Does this mean that the AWS and EGR systems are entirely disabled when the PFC is installed?

2) What is the effect of the "split air" wire? As I understand it, the split air line is used by the ACV to direct air pump air directly to the cat rather than to the exhaust port. What impact does the PFC have on this system? Is the ACV disabled, thus sending all the air to the exhaust port?

3) What other ECU features does the PFC not support? Is there a concise guide somewhere? I know that it does not have knock protection, and that it does not have a limp mode, so that, e.g., oil pump failures will not be alerted. Any other significant differences?

Thanks. Just trying to understand how things work.

1. yes, as the Japanese Rx7's didn't have these systems.
2. the US models have two split air solenoids, which makes it a little confusing, but the main solenoid is kept, and the PFC gets rid of the added US one, which is on the ACV, and lets the ACV bleed off some port air to split air.
3. basically the US Rx7 had AWS, EGR and the second split air thing added. the JDM car has inputs for like parking lights, and blower fan speed in its place. the other difference is that since the US car ran out of pins, it takes the climate control and electrical load inputs and puts them into a magic box called the e/l unit, which only takes 1 pin at the ecu. it also runs the check engine light.

So what happens if you don't cut those four wires when you install the PFC? I recently installed mine and didn't cut the wires. Seemed to run okay. Haven't tuned it yet. Today, I went back and cut the wires. What should I expect? I'm running a properly done non sequential system, street port, and intake but the rest is stock.

And I don't have an air pump

Okay so I cut the four wires. I did a reset on the PFC. Started it and went through the idle learn. Took the car for a drive and experienced some cutting out and when I came to a light, it died. Started it up. Took it down the road, it died again when I got off the throttle and on the brake. I'm sure I cut the right wires. So why is it dying out? Thinking about re connecting the four wires and driving it again. Ran better before cutting the wires.
