With PFC connected starts and dies

Hello,

I am having an issue where my car starts and dies with the PFC connected, but runs with the stock ecu. I have the air pump removed along with the rats nest so it idles high and doesn't quite run right under load with the stock ecu so I am trying to get my PFC going to correct this. I read through the "HOW TO: Make your untuned PFC basemap safer/idle better (no Datalogit needed)" thread and tried to set the self learning idle adjustment, but this appears to be impossible to accomplish with it not allowing it to idle. When I start it with the Power FC it sounds like the timing is off while cranking and firing(almost like a miss) and doesn't have that issue with the stock ecu.

If anyone happens to know what would cause this, information would be highly appreciated!

Jesse

I have also put some block off plates that removed the additional throttle valves that sit further back in the throttle body.

First you should post your PFC questions in the PFC forum!
Is this a new PFC or used one?
Without an air pump, you need to turn off the O2 Feed Back switch. Otherwise the ecu tries to maintain a 14.7 AFR which it cannot.

What all is removed from the rats nest?

Thus we need a complete description of what has been done to the engine and its harness and parts.

I was unaware of the PFC forum. I did disable the O2, and I believe that it was something like this:

Harness is untouched.

Or more like this probably because no aftermarket boost controller...

This is what I suggest:
(1) Use the ETC menue to initialize the PFC to make sure all values are set back to stock.
(2) Reset the O2 FB switch off again.
(3) Restart the engine with the commander on the IGL/IGT/INJ screen so you can quickly add or remove fuel. If the engine will not stay running open the throttle some more.

If it will not run, then maybe the PFC is bad.

YOU DID NOT ANSWER IF THE PFC IS NEW OR USED. Some people have sold knowingly bad PFCs.

It is used, I will try that and see how it goes. I hope it is not bad, that would be so shitty... People can be shady though so it would not surprise me.
Thanks man
