Map questions

Finally getting a PFC and was curious about some map safety. I read the Dale Clark PFC faq but still had a question. After I install the PFC I have other parts that I would like to install and then go get it tuned. So with the PFC installed I have a Street ported motor, non-seq twins, intake, dp, cb, m2 large IC, Walbro FP, koyo radiator, and gauges. I found base maps using the FAQ for a setup close enough to mine that it shouldnt matter, but my question is if I install all these parts, let the PFC learn the idle, set the map to the one closest to my setup is it safe to drive around? Do I set the map and then have to go get it tuned right away?

-First I would change your fuel pump to Denso Pump (2jzgte or nismo gtr).
-what map sensor are you running? if you are running factory map use, do not touch map setting. If you are running the Apexi map, in the map sensor setup change to the setting right below the factory one.
-I would never run any maps on line!! the factory maps will be fine for your setup.
-I would bring to a shop that will set everything for you or your car isn't tuned.

if you have any questions PM me. or Email

-Frank

don't boost it until you get it tuned
