Ignition breakup mistaken for leaky injectors?

:(Hi guys, just been doing some logging an trouble shooting. I think i may have been mistaking leaking injectors for ignition breakup.

When the secondaries come online. my wideband is showing 9afrs in most of my onboost map. also in mu vacuum and higher revs map. i will get lower averages but still hitting 9s.

I know my readings should be more consistant than this. the ranges are all over the place.

Does anyone have the time to take a quick look at my log session. just to confirm my new secondary injectors are not opening and closing consistantly?

I have experience this problem before when tunning a FD, I thought the same thing that the secondaries were not operating properly but after some testing it showed that they were fine. It ended up being the HKS twin power ignition box, the box falted and caused ignition breakup just as boost went past 10psi.

Hope this helps :icon_tup:

Thanx apex, I think it is because i bought a map for my setup with a street port, mine isnot ported. so im running mega rich. Im going to lean out my map where it breaks up. (carefully) to see if it helps.

I was planning on buying hks twinpower but now im not so sure. Is it worth buying

Your car needs to be tuned. You bought a map is the first problem. No two cars are the same.

I am going to lean the map out myself. we had exactly the same setup, apart from he had resistors i have fjo drivers, this means i am injecting more fuel. Also his car was ported mine isnt. this means even more fuel. I need to lean out my map carefully with my wideband then see how that goes.

I will leave teh timing the same for now.

what do you all think

You can look at the ADVANCED functions injector data, BASIC Duty Cycle, and AFRs and that will show you what is happening to fuel.
