how can I set my engine timing to be in sync with the power FC

rebuild engine will not start.
I will save some time and say that all the requirements to start an engine are there and working.

I need help figuring out the engine timing and how it works with the power FC.

I noticed inside the commander settings there is a leading and trailing timing map. What I want to figure out is how to position the main pulley to match up with the values the power FC already has. The current fuel/ignition map works perfect before I rebuild the motor. Now I cannot get the thing to start even.

S5 tii with S6 power FC, I also have the datalogit if that can help the troubleshooting.

anyone have ideas where to start?

You need to have an e-shaft timing pulley that is correctly marked for TDC.
You need a timing light.
You need to then set TDC with the light, and by adjusting your crank angle sensor.

Have you also verified that you have both TPS voltages?

Very simple basic application of engine knowledge.

Easiest way is to set "Idle IG control" to off and make sure the idle speeds are not set to 0.

At no load idle your leading timing would be -5, same as the yellow mark on the FC pulley. Then you can line up the mark. Since your engine won't even start, I have to ask:

1) Do you have Datalogit logs of the engine trying to start?
2) If you don't, have you looked on the PFC Commander tos ee if you are getting an rpm signal during cranking?

If you dropped the crank angle sensor in there and it's at least on the correct tooth it should start at the very least.

Do you have your CAS stabbed correctly?

Thanks for the reply guys!

I have set the tps correctly. Checked & set voltages within the limits.
My timing pulley is marked correctly, When the woodrift key on the pulley is at 9 o clock the 0 timing mark is at 12 o clock. When I've stab the cas I line up the dimple on the gear with the mark on the shift.

I still have yet to have the motor start.

I set the timing using a 19mm and rotate the pulley to hit the pointer at 0 degrees or 5 before TDC. From here I align the cas and stab it, I even remove the top plate from the cas to make sure the gear is located where it should be.

Where should the timing light fire looking at the pulley? I have marks at 5btdc, 0, 5atdc, 10atdc, 15atdc, 20atdc,25atdc

I have checked each spark plug wire is giving spark.
My fuel injectors were flow tested before install and I have pulled the plugs a few times to un flood the motor and they are wet with gas.

Any thoughts on what I'm missing here?

I have very little experience with the datalogit, I can get my lap top out and take some screen captures if someone can help walk me through it a little.

The two FCs that I have setup, had TDC marks, I set the PFC idle area to 0 degrees IGL,
I disabled the ISC control system which affects timing by setting all PFC idle speeds to 0,
got the engine to idle in the idle area, and using a timing light adjusted the crank angle sensor
so the spark was TDC. Calibration completed.
