GM vs Denso 3 Bar

Im wondering if there are any advantages to using the Denso 3 bar map sensor sold by Apexi over the GM unit. I believe the Denso is supposed to connect to the factory harness plug and play style. The GM requires some soldering.
Are there any other factors to justify the increased price of the Denso unit?

Thanks.

We have a plug and play kit for the GM 3 bar, no soldering required. We also designed a mounting bracket for the factory location. GM 3-Bar Map Sensor & Harness Adapter Kit

The Power FC comes preloaded with the scale and offset for the Denso/Apexi sensor on "option 1", the GM sensor requires a Datalogit or Pro software to set up.

We also sell the Apexi/Denso 3-Bar Sensor APEXi Power FC

Thanks for the reply.

When searching the subject I came across a post claiming that the preloaded settings for the Denso sensor are incorrect. Is this true and if so, does it affect tuning? Wouldnt it just be relative to the altitude you are tuning at?

The APexi unit when mounted at a new location looks so much better than the GM.
Using a GM is like replacing the rotary with a V8!

Its also like 4x the price! haha

Cew, I think you were the one posting about how the preloaded numbers in the PFC are incorrect. I know you tested it using an external pressure gauge to come up with new numbers. I saw other posts saying that your numbers look incorrect...so now Im confused.

Will this sensor work?

There is only one version of the better Apexi Denso 3 bar, but about 3 different versions of the GM.
Each GM may possibly calibrate differently.

Yeah screw that...ended up getting the Denso.
