A Few questions. Help Apriciated.
Whats up guys before i get flamed , i am new to the rotary realm... i may be 23...and i may sound like a jack ass... this is why im asking for help... i used to race professionally so i know a general over view of cars.. but as far as the FD goes , im all ears.
For Reference: 93 FD Non Seq Turbos Block Off Plates 1300 secondaries Koyo Rad Street Port TKT Cold Air Fresh Turbos APEXi Datalogit Power FC 3 in Down Pipe 3 in Mid Pipe Apex GT Exhaust Act Clutch Kit... I Bought the car like this and i have no manual for the FMC (now have it on my pc.) The car idles fine when not under an electircal load , but if the lights/heat etc are on it dies. I changed the plugs...they were horribly black. So i get the same numbers that were in the car , and replace... (The car was tuned before i bought it. ) Start it up upon ignition it jumps to 4k rpm. so i (after scratching my head like a retard for 2 hours) DIssconnect the positive terminal wait a few mins , pop it back on , and walah.. idles great... Untill theres an electrical load... Now did i lose all the previous tuning when the battery was disconnected? And also i figured bumping up the REV/IDLE Settings would do it... nope. (Idle e/l) (now at 1200) And for the record the car still idles at 1k. Any help greatly apriciated... - Dale G |

did this just start suddenly or was it like this when you bought the car?
Is the idle control solenoid connected? It is the solenoid right behind the throttle body on the UIM. there are tons of threads about idle issues and there solutions. try searching the 3rd gen section. feel free to pm me if you need a somewhat experienced set of eyes. i'm in NYC and will be out in Paramus sometime Sat if that is nearby at all. |
