Datalogit SW4 boost control
 

I am relatively new to the boards, but was an old member of the first RX7 club back in the 1980's. My question is has anyone ever hooked up the SW4 for boost on the datalogit and simply purchased an additional fog light switch for the blank switch position between the fog light and the rear defroster? I was thinking this would integrate well, work well, and you would be able to switch boost settings on the fly for changes in weather to help protect the engine in severe cold and severe heat.

I removed the fog lights from my car and just use the regular fog light switch wired to the datalogit to toggle high/low boost settings on the fly. I use a Greddy solenoid on a single turbo setup and it works very well, requires less gadgets in the cabin and keeps clutter down.

It seems like it works well. I agree that anything to keep the number of switches and overall clutter helps.

I prefer to keep the datalogit box out of the car (to reduce clutter) with a quick disconnect plug for the wideband etc inputs. Then I use the commander to change boost levels--you can do it in a few seconds once you've memorized the order of buttons to press.
