Datalogit and programmable displays
Can the Datalogit be connected to any of these new programmable displays, like the Innovate XD-16? I guess the display and the Datalogic will have to to understand each other somehow (either by using the same protocol or by some middle box converting protocols).

The XD-16 is just a gauge...you need a wideband o2 sensor and controller for it to display anything. The datalogit is just that, it isn't a wideband.

Of course... Evidently, I didn't express myself clearly enough.
The question is whether the serial output from the Datalogit - which has its own protocol - can be made compatible and utilized by "intelligent" displays which can be programmed to show conditional information. Such "inteligent" displays utilize their own communication protocol for that. In the example, the XD-16 (protocol) is designed to receive information from other Innovate devices, which send their serial signals with their own portocol, e.g. the LC-1 and a RPM module. Again, the XD-16 was just an example. There are other displays like that, AEM, PLX, etc. |
The datalogit only has aux inputs.
For the PLX gauges, you'd still need the sensor module, which you could then use to hook up to the aux input on the datalogit. |
