Can't get Datalogit to read values from my MTX-L wideband

I am having a problem with getting a reading from my wideband on my Datalogit. I have the correct 5v signal wire and ground going to my AN1 and AN2 inputs on the Datalogit box. The ground to the AN2 input shares a common ground with the MTX-L and I ran an additional ground to my ECU ground as some other have stated is necessary. I have the correct values in the Datalogit for AN1, but I don't know what kind of values are supposed to be in for the ground on AN2. I also do have the delta AN1-AN2 checked off. I left the polynomial formula as whatever it figured out, does that need to be changed? I checked power at the Datalogit box and it was reading 5V when the car is on but not running which should be right. The only thing I haven't checked is trying to put the wires in any of the other auxiliary inputs to see if there is a problem with my AN1 and 2 inputs. Once I get my wideband communicating with the Datalogit, how do I get my car to run off that instead of the simulated narrow band signal that I'm using now? I have searched and read and can't seem to find any more answers, I hope that someone can help me out here. Thanks!

You need to add a watch for an1-an2 wideband, then a small display will pop up on the screen showing your wideband reading, when setting up the watch you can enter how many decimal numbers etc.
Leave the poly and an2 as they were.
PM arghh about joining the yahoo group as a lot of useful info on there.

I did do a watch, it just shows 0.00. I am also part of the group, could not find anything to get it to work, I've followed everyone's advice that I could find on here. Thanks

Put the key in the ON position, engine off. Go into your monitor window and select Advance, Sensors, and Aux. Uncheck everything else. Begin logging. Log for a few seconds, then stop logging. Start the engine. Let it run for about a minute. Stop logging.

Post the .txt files and one of the .dat file that it generates. We'll go from there. First we need to see if the raw sensor voltage makes sense--does it follow the appropriate trend line. I have to look into the MTX-L. I don't recall if you can change the voltage output scale on it. There may be an issue there. Setuping up the auxiliary input in the FC Edit software is the last step.

Okay great thanks. I tried today with it in the AN1 and 2, and also the AN3 and 4 inputs and it still did not show anything while driving. I'll log it tomorrow and see what happens.

I have the exact same Wide Band and get the same results as you if i try to use a common ground from the datalogit (AN2). I do not use this setting and logging works. A/F is about .4 higher on the datalogit but it is consistent so tolerable.

Forgot to say, it won't show anything until you press F1.

Hey here's the logs. I hope that this helps, as far as I know you can change the output scale on the MTX-L. I had to zip the running log as it was over 100kb, I hope you can open it. Thanks again

Forgot to add the .dat file. Here it is zipped, thanks a lot.

Hmm. Something seems a little off with the engine running log. Why is the water temperature at 1C when the engine is running and 18C before it starts? How is the temperature going to go down like that? And the battery voltage is way too high.

Your wideband voltage is 5.00 with the engine off, which is super lean (as you would expect with the engine off). Then it drops to about 1.5 volts in the next log with the engine running. According to the MTX-L instructions, 5 volts should be 22.3 AFR and 0 volts should be 7.35 AFR. When I set my Aux to this scaling, it shows up as being in the 11's AFR. But the signal looks weird.

Post another log. Keep the same settings in the monitor window. Put they key in the ON position. Begin logging. Crank the engine over and keep logging. Take a log for about 2 minutes. During that time, tap the throttle a little bit just to give it a slight rev.

The voltage coming into the DL from the wideband has to be right before you can troubleshoot the rest of the software.

I got the wideband from the Log to work fine

The shape of the voltage curve looks weird to me. Here it is from the OP's log he submitted (engine running):

Why is there a step there? Why is the signal nearly flat? It's a short sample so I'd like to get more data. Here is a log from a different engine, showing a startup and idle for about 10 minutes:

Yeah I did notice that a few other things were sort of weird. I did not however notice that the temp was strange because my gauge and commander always show the same numbers. The voltage when running did also seem quite high, and I never noticed that before my rebuild. I just made a log of my car on, then starting and running for about 2 minutes. I let it idle, blipped the throttle a few times and let it idle high for a couple seconds. I hope that we can figure it out. Also, I still can't get my AFR to show up in my monitor. I put in the exact same values as you stated, and what you figured out was bang on to what my gauge was telling me. Thanks again, its greatly appreciated.

I've tried playing around with it some more but I don't think it's made any difference. Any ideas?
