a/c sensor question
Yet another a/c question :)
In the PFC sensor screen, what does the a/c dot represent? In my car, the a/c never lights up (turn dark) in any fan setting. What does this mean? pfc is not getting the fan switch signal? or the compresor is not turning on? |
The AC dot means the compressor is engaged. When the AC is on (button on the dash on, fan speed set to something), the compressor will cycle on and off, and that will display the compressor's current state.
You should also notice the air not being cold out of the vents if the compressor is not engaging :). Dale |
ok i got you, yes the a/c is not cold, that's what I'm trying to fix :) the compressor is definitely not engaging, but the a/c mechanic said it could be because the system has no freon?
What i'm trying to find out is, if I need new a/c fan switch, or do I simply need to fill the freon up, since in the process of charging freon, they need to turn on the compressor. |
