Base map request to start up project car
Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone could send me a base map so I can start up my car. My engine is street ported with ID1000 primary injectors and ID2000 secondary. Walbro 450 fuel pump Gt40r Turbo. Not looking to make power as I will be taking it to a tuner, just looking to start it up safely. The problem is I do not have a datalogit so my next question could I use the commander to input the tune? New to this, so any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |
If you are running gasoline, then the 1000s will be hard to tune with the PFC. Fine for E-85. This if for street use.

The tune doesn't have to be perfect, as long as I can start and drive the car to a shop I'll be happy because I'm having a hard time getting a tuner to come to my house. |
Hopefully someone chimes in, I'll be running identical pump/injector combo once I'm ready to hit the tuner.

The commander will not allow you to increase the injector sizes that high, you need a datalogit

It's starting to look like I will have to make 2 trips to the tuner 1 to start and 1 to do a power run. |
As long as you do not accelerate too heavily, the secondary injectors will not operate.
All that would happen is a rich fuel mixture as the flow would be greater than the ECU thinks. ID 725s would be ideal for primaries as many have used them without any tuning problems. Stock 550 with Bosch 1600 secondaries and stock+ porting is good for over 420 rwhp with the AEM Stealth fuel pump. That is why 1000 primaries are not needed unless you want enough power that will require an improved trans, diff, and clutch. |

I know I went overkill with the fuel setup lol, I wanted to leave room for more horse power in the future but still over did it. Last thing, all I did was go in to the settings and change primary Injector from 750cc to 1000cc. I'm going to attempt to start it this weekend, any last minute tuning recommendations? |
Primary injector pulse correction percentage should be changed to 55%, with the 725cc it should have been set at 75.8%

That's great news! Got my car started on 550/550 for the break-in period. I'll be throwing in my FFE 725/2000 setup next week. Thanks Banzai for the correction values info.
fd3sguyy, what are your idle AFR''s? I'm in the low 11's at idle on 550/550 using the PFC stock basemap. |
