another idle issue

Interesting issue (to me atleast)
mods:
poor mans intake
dp
bonez cat
cat back exhaust
air pump delete

Installed the pfc, unchecked the o2 box and went through the idle learning process. As it is going through the process everything seems to be going fine, idling around 850 - 900. After the learning process if i rev it the idle starts surging again, unless i turn on the rear defroster, in which case it will idle around 1k with no surging at all.

I will be check/tuning the sensor (to many acronyms for me to remember the name at the moment) but wasn't sure if there was something else i should check first. Idle screw has been adjust to about a 1/4 turn out also.

appreciate any help :)

Tps

Usually one needs to make a fine idle air flow adjustment with the air bleed screw.

When the idle is stable and you let off the throttle while driving;
(1) if idle drops way low then compensates - not enough basic air flow
(2) if idle increases and fluctuate up and down - too much air flow.

Finally got around to adjusting the tps today as VTA1 fully closed was out of spec.

After adjusting the tps i got both VTA1 & 2 into spec, and the voltage increases and decreases smoothly with the throttle. However VTA1 fully open will only get to 4.09v instead of Spec which is 4.20-4.60. Does this mean that the tps needs to be replaced or is it being off by that much at fully open ok?
