900 cc primaries ?
Put 900 cc primaries in the car, had the primary 550 cc's worked over by RC Engineering. Adjusted the 550 table in the injector table to 900 and the car won't run, studders, backfires etc.
Ideas? Thanks in advance. |
Did you only enter 900 in the Q primary box? Try entering 61.1 in the front primary and rear primary boxes above that if your values there are still set to 100.

I think some re-tuning is usually necessary. Those boxes just get you close, I had to make adjustments to my whole map to get it where I wanted after changing primaries. Do you have a wideband and datalogit?

Rotary Power
18111 S Harvard Blvd Gardena, CA 90248 A little far from you but it's an option. I went to visit a few months ago, the owner has several FD's, 2nd gens, I also saw an RX-3 and REPU there. Also: Mazdatrix 2730 Gundry Ave Signal Hill, Ca. 90755 But I don't know if they only sell parts or also work on cars. |

Ideas? Thanks in advance. You just made a very bad decision. For years we the "informed" have been saying 850 or larger are no good unless running E85 or alcohol, or for racing. Thanks for giving us more evidence. WADA! |

Yes it is dong what you asked for. Flowing about 64% more and not being able to reduce flow except through negative lag.

"A very bad decision"? If it ends up being an issue I'll just replace the primary injectors with 750's. I'm glad you are the informed" being I've been building rotaries for over 30 years. (I'm Mr RX-7 tt) Thanks for the positive feedback. |

You want lager primary injectors, ID 715 (standardize flow rate) are the way to go.
Many brainwashed young Muslims killing and blowing thing up does not make that correct. Misguided youth. "Plenty of people are running 850 and larger primary injectors with the PFC." Very poor logic. Do you have the right stuff and the knack? |
