PFS Purple

My car is pretty much stock except a down pipe.well main cat is clogged so i'm going to get a mid pipe and a catback.I found a ecu(purple) off a 93 mazda rx7 that is ported and has a upgraded intercooler, full exhaust, and intake. My question is if I just pluging this in to my 93 with a downpipe, midpipe, greddy catback, would i run into problems,i'm not really sure where to get it reprogramed either.

You will run into problems with boost creep unless your wastegates are ported.

I am running a Purple PMC with no problems, but I that is after porting the wastegates. I had boost creep before the porting but was able to control it with a bit of restriction in the exhaust.

like the_saint said, you need to watch out for boost creep and might have to port the wastegate -

otherwise, based on the mods of the other car to yours, you shouldn't run lean, and you should actually end up running rich. BUT, all cars take to mods different, so you still need to be aware.

Running rich is not good either. it robs you of power, fouls out your plugs, and leads to backfiring.

you should look for a control box so you can check things out, and get the instruction on line to learn about it. programming it is not hard, as long as you are patient with your own learning curve.

If you really are against programming, then go for a pettit or M2 modded chip.

look on thepartstrader.com for both items. someone is always selling something.

good luck

Does Rotary performance program the PFS purple?
