Scion Rotary Conversion

Hi guys, sorry for invading your boards, but I have a question and it's best to ask the experts.

I own a Scion xB 2004. It's a show car. I have always loved rotaries and have owned several conversions.

I am now looking to convert my xB to host an old school 12a or 13b. I actually want to do a Carburator setup instead of fuel injection for ease of installation and the look of the intake manifold.

I need someone brave enough to do this. I live in Florida, but I am willing to entertain anyone who thinks they can do this.

Please email me @ trikkonceptz@hotmail.com as I will not continuously monitor this thread.

Thanks again for your input.

Its gonna be an xB with a rotary.

Considering this is posted in a forum primarily with v8 rx7s, Im pretty sure everyone is going to laugh their ass off at you...

... which is what you want becuase this HAS to be a troll!

I give it a 8/10.

Well I figured this would be out of place in the Rotary in a Scion section of this forum ... (since you don't have one ... Dee Dee Dee), therefore this is the most logical place to ask considering its about motor swaps.

So if thats the most constructive comment you can make .. keep it to yourself, I'm already laughing at you for wanting to put pistons in a rotary car ...

This would be quite the project. Would it be kept FWD or converted to RWD? That would be the biggest factor to decide. I figure it would actually be easier to convert to RWD as there is no transmission that would directly bolt up to a rotary, not even close.

Damn, persistant, and oblivious to the eleventy billion threads regarding v8s in this section of the forum, AND oblivious to the SEARCH button and why we put "pistons in a rotary"... while youre putting a rotary into a fucking xB.

:iwstupid: you, sir, are a very good troll.

This is QUALITY. You from 4chan's /o/?

It's amazing you can turn on your vehicle in the morning Nihilanthic .. I have truly never met a dummer individual in my life, but I guess its because you (troll) spend all your time on a keyboard and never actually do anything you may brag about ..

As far as 85rotarypower's comments ... I am actually going to keep it front wheel drive. I can machine the shaft that enters the engine to match up with my factory tranny. And the mounting plate is a joke to fabricate. When you lay the engine out inside the bay, the intake and exhaust manifolds line up like the stock ones in the current engine. There is even a motormount in the same area as the rotary's. It really makes sense, and is not as difficult as it may seem.

I just wanted to know if there were any adventurous mechancs in this bunch. I guess not, just 1 guy with common sense and an asshole. Well it definately explains the popularity of this site.

So i guess thanks for nothing ... Oh and BTW this particular section is OTHER ENGINE CONVERSIONS .... so it's not my fault all you can shove in those poor cars are inefficient outdated V8's.

Laterz ..

There's absolutely no reason to do this. Rotary engine's have so many problems, why would you want to throw away a totally good toyota engine for one instead? I get the idea that it'd be new and different, but why not use something that's not so problematic?

Boostmaniac 09-24-06 03:04 AM

I think this would be kinda cool if you can pull it off. If you do, be sure to post some pics of it.

Good luck!

If you can fabricate that stuff why make a thread about it asking for help? LOL! A carburated rotary in a commuter breadbox car is a fucking joke, thank god florida has sufficiently nonexistant emissions laws you could even think twice about it.

At any rate, you're so clearly a troll its kind of reeking. You did well at first but now you've lost the whole trolling pokerface. Using cliche'd techniques and attempts to get people angry...

:rlaugh:

Great intro but your follow through was too... formulaic. Try not to do it by the numbers next time, ok?

PSST... and work on the post count too!

hondaracer7a 09-24-06 05:41 AM

what in the fuck is a troll?

custom13B 09-24-06 06:11 AM

My God cant everyone just get along? Take a frekin Midol people shesh. I could install a rotary in anything as long as this guy has the money to do it properly. I just dont care what engine is used where ...its not my car.

Nihil - Shut the hell up. The only troll I see in this thread is you constantly bashing the thread starter. Please go away.

I will personally buy you a fucking LS7 motor and deliver it at your doorstep with a clown suit on and a sign stating whatever you want if we ever see an xB with a rotary in it that he did.

There is NO fucking way this is for real, his post count is one.

casio 09-24-06 05:47 PM

so how many posts until i'm ASE certified?

Nihilanthic 09-24-06 05:56 PM

You were when you hit 1337 posts, sir.

Is this supposed to be a constructive comment? If you made any effort to look through this subforum you'd probably notice that most of the posts in this forum are regarding piston engine conversions into RX7s. So I doubt many people in this forum will want to help you when you make the statement above. From your posts, I get the feeling that you dont know much about LS1's (or other piston motors) as far as efficiency compared to rotaries, so please keep the piston engine bashing to yourself. This sub-forum gets enough of that as it is.

If you had a question about rotories, rx7club.com is a good resource, but I doubt many people of this forum have much experience with scions. You might be better off looking for engine swap info on a scion forum.

felix_is_alive 09-24-06 06:25 PM

come on guys give the guy a chance i mean damn its just a question ...no need to go that hard on the guy

Nihilanthic 09-24-06 06:52 PM

ITS OBVIOUS ITS A TROLL!

WHY ARE YOU TAKING IT SERIOUSLY?

You forgot "that sounds like a sewing machine and accelerates about as fast as a chain stitch".

This thread finally rationalized driving 45 minutes to take a dump on the hood of Nihilanthic's FD.
