J35a4 02-04 honda odyssey

I have a 1989 FC convertible. I've searched and I can't find anyone who has done this swap.

I'm thinking about going piston and I came across this:

JV6 Miata Kit SuperFastMi

The motor can be tuned to about 300 horsepower and weighs substantially less than an LSX. For me, that's enough output and light weight makes a better handling more efficient car. When you're driving a convertible, both things are important.

Even though the Miata and the FC are almost the same width and track, I've look at pictures of the Miata subframe and it looks substantially different for the FC part so a lot of the fitting it into the car would have to be done by me.

They have the engine management worked out. I wonder if the FC transmission is similar enough to the Miata transmission so that this adapter plate would work. What else from this set up could I use?

its not. not on that side.

you work out a RWD trans for the honda v6, and many would be all over it. im sure somebody out there has something..
for me a vk35de is the same thing as the honda v6, but can adapted to the cd009 trans from a 350z.

How hard can it be?

I'm plotting out how to do this. Before I advertise my 13B for sale, I have to figure out whether the transmission should go to. I'd prefer to use the native transmission, but I'm afraid it may not be strong enough. One option I know can be done is using the transmission from a Honda S2000.

Does anyone have any experience with this unit? I'm curious about fitment.

This is more than a year and a half after your post, but just in case ...

I have no personal experience with this tranny, but I did see an article where a guy built his S2000 with a J-series and used the S2000 tranny with it. I can't remember the details (assuming they were even mentioned in the article), but it shouldn't be too hard to find.
