hey ppl, how are you all doing?

well i dont drive an rx7 but am very interested in one for a future car.

Just curious, is it possible to do an engine conversion in a series 5 rx7?

i was thinking maybe a honda h22a prelude or the s2000 engine


how difficult would it be and what needs to be done? rough costs would be good to


i've heard that with rotors that you have to rebuild them a lot plus the price of petrol atm is fairly high to run a turbo. well for my kinda budget anyway

i got 2 model rx7's on my table now and their looking sweet as.... both from initial d lol

I'm not too sure you are at the good place to ask this question.

And I would be more affraid of the price to fit a s2000 engine than the gas price to fill a 13BT.

well welcome to the club
yes you could can do an engine swap and you can stuff any kind of engine in the car (lots of mony required in some cases) most comon are v8s
the prelude engine would be the hardest because its front drive
depending on the condition of your engine core you can rebuild for less then a $1000 but as much as 5 grand as well

so i guess i should leave it stock when i buy one then. have it as a weekend car and buy like a jazz if im concerned about petrol.


wats the petrol consumption of the 13B compared to the 13BT and how many litres do the tanks hold?

the s2000 motor has been done before i dont know if the guy is on the forum or not the h22 one way to do it would be a custom tranny by g-force transmissions they sell a tranny for front engine RWD setups for honda b and h series motors it bolts right up to the motors and spins the driveshaft the correct way so it can work with a normal diff but im sure that probably out of you budget if your worried about gas prices

the reason i asked this was that i think that piston engines are easier to work with coz i know nothing about rotors at all.

rotary motors are cheaper and easier to work with, trust me on this one.
