Got the GN hybrid out to the track finally.

Finally got this beast out and to the track. First I weighed in at 2830 with me in the car.

With the combo in my sig running my open dump Y pipe I managed a best of....

60' 1.761
330 5.024
1/8 89.74
1000 10.155
1/4 12.196
mph 110.36

And a best MPH of 112.7 with a 1.8 60' final ET 12.250

Seems strang I don't have more MPH than that? I was only running 15lbs of boost and creeping up to 17 or so. This eng and turbo combo should support 26+lbs of boost no problem.

Still I left with a big grin on my face, can't wait to crank the boost up and see what she's got!

I'll try to get the video up asap...

p.s. I know the hoods ugly... I'm working on it!

what size welds do you got back there
15x10? do they clear the calibers?

cool.
good time for a 2800 pound FC... I dunno what GNpowered FC's run but 12.1 is pretty damn quick... sure the car's ugly but it hauls ass!

15x8... 5 1/2 backspacing w/ a small spacer... clears fine... 28x10inch tire.

The car itself is only 2650, with a half tank of fuel. The rest of that weight is my fat ass. :)

12.1 is running low boost, with an ok short time. With a good short time and 10 more lbs of boost car should be low 11's... Can't wait!

do you think 15x10's would fit back there?

15" rims 10" wide? Depends how tall the tire is. I'm running a 28x10 inch tire with no problems.. Depends on teh back spacing of the wheel though. Of course it won't work on the stock rims....

Update, the car went 11.99....grats adam, just need to figure out the top end hesitation so you can get a low 11.

Is there a kit for this swap or is it all custom?

vxturboxv 12-02-04 05:09 PM

No it's pretty much all custom, although there are a few guys on the turbobuicks.com sight that are selling complete kits they have made.
