fan relays?
hey
as u may know im running a 2jz in my FD, my question is, do i need the fan relays if im running aftermarket fans? or can i delete them from my harness, thanks |
You need at least one relay in the line due to the current the fans draw. Then you could wire that relay to a manual switch or something temperature related if you like.

does it matter which relay?

do i need these clips if im running a NON rotary?
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/h...7/IMG_1521.jpg also, should i keep my diagnostics box or just delete it? |
diagnostic box has a fuel pump checker in it, but that will only work if you are using most of the factory fuel pump wiring.
|
if i delete it will it effect it?
|
You probably should download the wiring diagrams and go through the harness to see what you do and don't need. I just did that this past weekend for my 2jz FD, and fwiw I deleted the diagnostics box, front relay box (removed and relocated the TNS relay ad horn relay), and all of the factory cooling fan relays as I plan in using a new relay for my cooling fan.

The 2jz has a diagnosics box intact so I don't think I need the stock FD one, and those engine clips can be deleted aswell since my 2j harness was modified to not use those.
Where did u relocated ur relays to? |
