Compatible engines.
 

Any one know what kind of v6 engines are compatible with an 1986 RX7-NonTurbo.

YOu should post this in the "other engines conversions" forum. We dont take kindly to pistons in these parts. J/k

No other engine that I know of will fit to the transmission bell housing or the motor mounts. There is a section on this website for swapping in piston engines though. I'm sure those guys would tell you what you would need to do.

a guy on www.torquecentral.com has swapped in a nissan maxima all aluminum V6 and possibly used a tranny from the 350Z. this motor is very similar to the motor from the 300zx. the motor is very light and thats a great tranny.

it'd prob be a hellova lot more expensive then lt1 though.

Talk to GNX7 over at torquecentral.com. the GN motor has been swapped,a nd as such so canthe L36/L67 buick 3800 motor. You wont be able to get the roots blower of the L67 (GTP engine) in there as the TB will be facing the rear of the car, but it is possible.
