Chevy Direct injection v-6

Any thoughts on transplanting this motor? I have an 89 convertible and could sure use 312 horsepower with low end torque. Not to mention the gas mileage would be around 30.

I know there aren't any kits yet, but would it be technically much different from an LS1 swap? What would the trade offs be? The usual.

The LS swap is well documented and would prob be easier on your wallet.

I hear reports of 28-30mph on the hwy in swapped FC/FD

That's why I went with the 2J... 190mph+!

FYI

this mileage is pretty well documented... it's all bout how you drive -NOT the engine.

Not really a great fit, but I'm sure it could be done. Engine control and fueling are going to be challenging.

A 5.3L LS will get about the same milage, same or more power, and is a lot cheaper/easier to do.

Sorry, I was poking fun at the MPH vs. MPG.

The stock GM ECU will probably freak out because it is missing so many inputs data bus inputs

All of that can be removed during tuning.
