5.0L V10 Conv?
Well what about a 5L V10 VW DIESEL conversion, engine standard bar being chipped with induction kit and full straight through exhaust, good for 400hp and about 650ft of torque and with the weight of th rx(gen3)with auto tip-tronic 35-40mpg! Fabrication is the big issue the unit is quite compact for its size but a new bonnet is a must, also inside front arches and tranny tunnel. For all the tourqe,I think 20"rims with the widest rubber possible!Any input would be super or idea's besides it being a stupid idea an rx7 with a diesel sacriledge...cheers.

It sounds like a great idea. How much would that engine/tranny package cost?

Overall dimensions of the Viper engine are: top to bottom - 26", front to rear - 34-1/2", width across the valve covers - 23".

the 5.0 bmw V10s are not all that great to tell ya the truth, with all the plastic and mechanical problems they have i dont think its all that great. and i think it may be a bit wide not too sure on the dimensions
|
with the viper v10 you would have more room for turbos on the side. :)
