GtoRx7 12-20-07 09:43 PM

It would be seriously 15.5k rpms with some type of magic headwork. Basically this is a pure dream.

200+ hp per liter? Without FI or N2 it's a pipe dream.

Esslinger engineering is the leader in 2.3 ford engine development and products. If you check with them you will find that 285hp is about the most you will get from these engines without some form of FI. This is from a 2.6 stroker circle track engine that idles at about 2k rpm and doesn't start making power until you hit 4-5k rpm.
The engine the OP is talking about is known as a dual plug head. I have seen some flowbench numbers on that head ported to the max and it does flow well to support ~200hp NA, however you would need to build a custom intake manifold and have it set up for the cam needed for these numbers. That alone would probably cost $2-3k.

Of course this is all based on my research and knowledge of the Ford 2.3 Lima engine. Maybe the OP knows something I don't.

If you would like to know more about these engines, checkout turboford.net

...ported to the limits; the 8plug head is inferior to the D-port. There's just more material to get out of the way; and not enough before you go through a wall on the 8plug...

...no way you'll ever hit those numbers; sorry kid...

...maybe if you managed to put a K20/24 in a RWD orientation, you -might-might-might- be able to see 350hp @ 15k rpm...

...but you're just blowing smoke anyway. Good luck with your 215hp "monster n/a" motor...

Not saying I wanted that much. I've driven the mustang that I was reffering to and seen the dyno chart for it. It was at 11k making 467 no nos no turbo, no supercharger and it was the 8 plug. My car will be topped at around 350 thats all I want Its going to be a drift car I'm not trying to prove anybody wrong but I know what I saw and drove and thats that. His was boared to almost paper thin but its been that way for 6 months and I only planned to go no more than 40 thousandths. I'm so sick of the bashing it happens to anybody that hasn't been on the forum for as long as you "smart people" or happens to someone that has an out of the box idea take for example the cat that wanted to do a rhd conversion it would have been a good idea its different its his car and he can do whatever he wants and I hope he does too later to all the bashing idiots that are narrowminded and think that their ideas and thoughts are the only way
PEACE

i have an idea i havde seen F20C mototrs mountedwith K20A trannis in FF congirations so the transverse might work K24A2 with K20A head with a F20C tranni mounted in a RWD platform.
