13bt into s13

i am wondering if anyone has done a rotory into the s13..got links? i can get a real cheap s13 with a blown singlecam in it and the thought crossed my mind. i dont really like 240sxs but the deal is so good and i like rotorys...........
so what would it take as far as engine mounts, tranny mounts, could i get a custom drive shaft to go from t2 tranny into s13 rear end and how would i go about the gauge cluster?

Its been done, with both 13b's and 20b's. The gauge cluster is by far the least of your worries.

who did them? is there pics or anything?

search the other rotary section. It should be a very easy swap, at least space wise. If you don't have to worry about emissions legality maybe look at a 13b-re. But honestly with that much room under the hood, I would be looking at a V8, I think there is even off the shelf kits available for the V8, then there is allways the RB.

Yeah, V8's in the S13 have been done before. Personally, I would look at a swap that has been done before (ie, RB engine, SR engine, or V8) before even thinking about attempting the rotary swap.

but i like rotorys more and doing a swap that is common is boring.. im just gonna do it

Well go for it, but you'll need to remake the trans tunnel. The trans tunnel on the RX-7 is huge because the tranny sits kind of high... the "crank" is in the center of the engine, not the bottom.

I think you can do it without remaking the trans tunnel, the engine won't be as far back as it would in an rx7, it will probably still improve the balance vs a stock 240.
