Well... I'm down with the rotors now (It only took a month or two )

I've decided rotors will power my next car, but I want to break away from the stereotypical RX7.

I dig on the trucks (REALLY DIG). BUT I'm kinda under the impression it would be easyer to get a Datsun and drop a rotary in it. (that'll make the Nismo guys angry)

I LOVE the litte RX3. Maybe the RX2, but all I've seen are 4 door RX2s (I'm a 2 door man)

I'm not too big on the larger RX4 and RX5. They remind me of big cars.


ANYWAY...

Where does one aquire an RX3? I've tried ebay and CL in a 400mile radius of Charleston, SC.

Do I even want to think about price? Or do they show up like beat up Datsun's for cheap every now and again?

 

i've been looking since wrecking my 808 in '05 and can't seem to find any but others find them with no problem. they aint cheap either. plan to spend some big bucks for one in running and driving condition. even shells needing sheet metal work from all the rust go for over 1g. and plan on doing some traveling if u do find one. they always seem to be a days travel time at least.

 

Its a bottomless money pit....there is no catalog for replacement parts lol

now if you want to buy one and have it ship to the states like I did, go to Clasificados Online Puerto Rico Real Estate, Jobs Autos Empleos , Bienes Raices Puerto Rico, look under AUTO, Advance Search, input the years from 1970 to 1978, pick Mazda and you will see R100, RX2, RX3, RX3SP, Rotary Pickup, I just got one in April, had it clear Police inspection before you buy it and had it shipped to Florida for $1400 to the front of my house. You need friends, lots of friends. I was offered either a RX-3 or R100 for free. I grabbed the R100 and just need to tow it to Socal from 500 miles away. Clean body and interior but im sure i will find some flaws but thats not new to me.

 

Man... Might just be easyer to slap my 12A into a light body pickup, and just buy a mazda 2

goto california... the end. i bought my rx2 there for... well i cant say how much but i basically stole it. saw so many others while i was there but decided on this one. or goto sevenstock and ask around. someone will have 20 in their backyard and offer you one just to free space.

 

Seems like thats the story for Datsun's as well...

I'm planning on DGRR this year. Might see something cool.

 

totally the guy i got my rx2 from, had a 510 in the driveway, a datsun truck, a datsun wagon, and a old corolla in the backyard. they grow out there like weeds man.. or weed should i say lollll
