Your better of staying stock than to put a holley or webber especaily with the gas prices at what they are an riseing. You'll spend just as much for a rebuild than for a new carb maybe less depending on who you take it to.

Get a sterling!

Just buy a 48 IDA. it will be the last carb you will ever buy since it can be used on all type of ports.

not a bad deal here...still needs a good $50-100(depending on who you know) to make it run sweet.

Get Holley!

Do you know how to tune? If not, send yours to Sterling for a rebuild and call it a day.

Otherwise, a Sterling-modded Nikki like 84stock says or a 48 IDA like wacky says would be my choices.

A Sterling may be your best option at this time, but unless you already have headers, along with 2 to 2-1/4" free flowing exhaust and can get past CARB certification, you're SOL. A Weber 48 mm IDA is another good choice, it has great tuneability and topend, but will suffer on low end driveability compared to the Nikki 4-barrel. Exhaust is the first and most important performance upgrade.
