truck starts then dies 15sec later?

i finally got my fuel system to work had cloged lines fuel filter and hookup my my mallory 140 fuel pump and 4309 reg. the truck is hard to start after it dies, i think because its getting flooded? if i leave the key on the carb will start to leak fuel but this is with the screw all the way out of the reg which i think would mean 3psi? maybe my return line is to small? i also took the spring out of the fuel pump like the directions say. when the truck is running it seems to be runing like it is not getting enough fuel? any ideas? the carb was just rebuilt

The Comp 140 requires a minimum of 3/8" supply and return lines. They don't tell you in the online specs for the pump, but it's noted in the install instructions. I had one on my 7, with new 3/8" lines, and it didn't last long. The Comp 70 is a better choice for a pump.

After buying 2 rebuild kits for my pump, with less than 3k miles on it, and not being able to fix the leak in the pump, I gave up on it. I am now modding my fuel tank to take a 2nd gen intank TII pump. The 4309 will bring the fuel pressure down for my carb set up until I get the TII engine built for the widebody.

If you are going with an FI 13B turbo in your truck, get an FI pump. If you are going with a blow though set up, get an FI pump, the 4309 will pull the fuel presure down and has the boost reference you need.
