Throttle linkage, rx3

I want to disconnect the throttle linkage from the carb on my 12a. I want to disconnect everything so I can get the motor out. There's a couple of spots where it's connected & doesn't look like it comes off? Do I just disconnect it from the firewall? Sorry if it's a dumb question but on other cars I've had I could just disconnect it from the carb area.

To remove the main throttle cable ( the one that goes down below with the rubber boot) , first loosen the 12mm locknut that keeps it tight to the bracket.
Then unthread the nut and boot combo all the way off the threaded portion of cable housing. Now you will have some freedom to manually work the butterfly to rotate the pulley (forward ?) and you'll be able to pull ball end of cable out of the pulley. Once it's free and clear you can pull whole cable portion out of the bracket from the carb - presto! The other cables are similar ....sorry but its harder to describe than to do :)

Thanks Redline.. I'm going to check that out this weekend. Mazda had a nice throttle & return set up..
