Solex locks
 

I am looking at getting some locks for my 72 Rx2 S2, from a 76 capella. I would be getting both front doors, trunk, and fuel door lock. But when I was talking to a buddy he said something about solex locks. Dose anyone know if they make anything that will fit in a Rx2? If so how much would something like this cost..

I have actually seen a set of these on a RX 2. They are locks that actually lock, unlike the shitty ones that come stock. I do not know where you get them thought or what they cost.

i have those. my buddy brought them back from the Philippines. In fact, APC type of locks, sold at pep-boys, are copies of the original solex which has been around since the '80's in Manila. It comes in 3 cylinder locks, master/regular keys and all the hardwares.

yup, My friend also brought me back some from the phillipines. They cost 20 US dollars! If you know anyone going, have them pick some up for you.

Kick, as far as I know, I think the solex locks are kinda universal. My kit just comes with 3 locks and a couple keys.

Ok, I just want to get something close to the stock one. So I won't have any trob putting them in. I think it would be better to go with those over getting stock ones from a used car. What do you all think?.

Im sure that some of my relatives will be heading to Manila for vacation. I will order a dozen. I sold several last month and have 2 left but I will be installing them in my RX-3 and RX-2 when I find the time. I will keep you posted.
