I'm reposting this with better pics and a lower asking price...
It's a 1976 RX-5 CD Cosmo that's setup to be a streetable touring car... Built nicely and tachs up like it's streetported, but it REALLY shines in the twisties!!! The front suspension is extremely stiff, yet still provides a smooth ride... Oh, and when you put it in the floor, you IMMEDIATELY feel the carbs open up and BBLLLEEAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! What it has: custom black/silver paint front lip spoiler I've never seen on one before original 13B compression tested a month ago @ 118/111 respectively twin Dellorto side-draft carbs Racing Beat upper and lower intake manifolds Racing Beat header custom straight exhaust (no cats) ALL emissions removed or blocked off performance plugs (4-spark) and wires full SCCA suspension (not sure of brand) 4-wheel disc brakes 5-speed shortened ratio tranny road/race clutch limited slip differential from 88 TurboII custom drilled gold mesh wheels with polished lip Lexan windshield (foggy and could use some Novus Polish) 4-point roll cage interior gutted from front seats back (nicely done) heat still works!!! What it needs: some nice racing seats (has originals with one tear on side) dash re-covered (cracks) door panels need some TLC new front carpet (or take it out) clutch slave cylinder (can be driven if you don't push it to the floor) $20 fix one rim repainted some rust on hood, trunk lid, and 1 small spot on roof (not bad) This car is beautiful overall, and can be driven away... It's putting down about 170-175 to the wheels with no lag... It handles like a damn dream, and doesn't have a problem getting up! The car should really be seen in person to be appreciated!!! And anyone who is close enough is encouraged to do so!!! I'll take $3500 cash for it... |

Yo that car is swwwweeet! I hate to say it but youre best bet is to list it on E-Bay with a shit load of Pictures!! I said it once and I'll repeat it again....The More information you can list about the car...ie.. Factory options,Upgrades, details about everything that has been done to the car and what attention it needs the more bids you will get.Especially with regards to pictures...Make sure the pics are CRYSTAL CLEAR and take pics of EVERYTHING! Including any flaws.People looking to bid will feel a lot mor comfortable bidding on someones vehicle who is very Honest & has nothing to hide.
Here is an example.....A while back I purchased an 85 RX7 on E-bay for $900.00 Original Owner 84,000 miles. The owner did not get many bids because there wasn't enough info on the Car or Pics. After receiving the Title I decided to list it on E-Bay.I wrote as much as I could about the Car & took A lot of Pics.Including close-ups of the dents. The Car Sold For 1850.00 and all I did was clean the car & change the radiator. Good Luck with The Sale of The Cosmo!! I hope you get MORE than you were asking It can only benefit the rest of us when we get ready to Sell!! Happy Holiday's to All My Old Skool Bro's!!!! **Let me just add that I think it's Great that the people on this board offer there Vehicles here first before listing them on Greedbay!! |
Nice car. Do you think you could share some better pictures?
|
I would buy it if it was in cali!

I just really want someone from here to get it rather than eBaying it... I'll trade for a nice TII or I'm using the cash to get one local and rebuild it...

I could get it shipped for less than $1000 though... |
would you consider trade? or payment plans?
|
Sorry, I sold the car right after Christmas...
|
damn. it was clean! my search continues
|
Yea I totally would have traded you too...
For the TII in your sig that is... lol |
hmm you said it had dual dellortros, but I only see one in the pics?
|
Same here. Just because it has dual barrels doesn't mean it's two seperate carbs. It appears to be a Racing Beat prepped dellorto 48DHLA. 13b4me was informed of this little slip-up before, but instead of simply acknowledging it and updating his list, he decided to handle it like a typical Honda boy. His thread required moderating after that episode.
I guess it doesn't matter now that the car has been sold. |
