Thanks!

That would be me. :D I even posted a thread wanting to sale it. Now that I'm gone from VA, people are looking for one. Well, I'll still sale it if the offer is right. Here's some pics of it if you're interested. And you can asked the guys in Hampton Roads that know the car about it. Its in very good shape for the age.

I have ever receict of everything I spent on it.

Hah ... my GTX has pissed me off so much. I actually have 2. One's being sold soon and the other's on its way out if I find a nice RX-4.

Too bad I probably wouldn't have enough to offer you for yours or I'd take it! All I could give you is $2500 or maybe $3000 depending on what I get for my cars I'm selling. Maybe even more since it's such a sexy car .......... how much was shipping from VA to TX? Tell me how much you were looking to get for the car please.

Har har. I would pay something, but shipping from west coast to east coast would kill me. Unless that is ... you know of one on the east coast.

I've got $2000 offers just for the body from several people. I know I'll never get what I got into it, ever, but I got almost $7000 in it and I still have to get a paint job and the interior re-done. Thats the reason I'm just taking offers and see what comes up. It ended up costing me almost $1400 to ship ONLY because DAS concidered it a non running vehicle because you had to turn a switch to turn on the fuel pump. If the vehicle isn't a turn key (by which I mean put the key in and it starts) vehicle its concider non running. If it was a turn key it would have only been $700 to ship. And the driver that shipped it was a total asshole. I'll NEVER use DAS again to ship a car even if I have to pay more. Only because they seem to be money hungry and not willing to help you by no means.

yeah yeah yeah. Look at the condition your cosmo was in when you got it. That thing is awesome. You know it. Now you know the condition of the RX4 when I got it from Rich. Its was good, but not great. Plus, last week I got the new rear end in it. Remember all the problems with finding certain hardware? Well, now it has a '85 Toyota Celica GTS rear end in it. I got from a guy in Cali that had it in his RX4 so it fit perfect. Now I have 4 wheel disc brakes! :bigok: I got it end this past Tuesday. You can tell a difference. It's not tired like the original.

PERTANO 02-02-07 04:01 PM

85 gts?? They had independent rear ends. Did you get my old rear end from Ray?? I was the only person I know of that was running a Celica rear in an RX-4. But it fits perfectly once you cut all the extra crap off it. Should have been from a 79-81 Celica Supra.

No. I got this from a guy in Fremont, California named Tony Munios. I'm not sure if it did come from an RX4 but it sure did fit a RX4. As far as as it been a '85 GTS you're right, of course. It's a soild axle but it does have disc brake and it is a Toyota. But I don't know Toyota's as well as I would like. I have to find out now what year rear end I have. I guess I could pull the pads and see what matches up. They were good so I keep them on and haven't changed them.

Great swap though isn't it. Made life much easier when parts were needed. Just got to the local parts house and get what you need.

REPUZENTN 02-04-07 11:58 AM

Hey Fastway, SBMotors is selling his clean-ass RX-4. Check it out.

rxtasy3 02-04-07 03:04 PM

r u all sure about it being '85 toyota celica gts? the only toyota gts i find on the net from 85 is a corolla. the celica gts seems to be from 200?, and fwd.
