RX 4 Engine - Tranny Geometry

Hi All,

I am in the process of mating up a Quaife Serria Sequential gearbox to a 13B. The quaife is going to replace a 2nd gen NA gearbox I have in my Super Seven clone. I am using an RX4 bellhousing and I have noticed something strange about the relation of the transmission to the engine with this bell. It seems as if the bottom of transmisson and the bottom of engine are not in the same plane to the ground as they are with the 2nd gen tranny. This bottom of gearbox to bottom of engine angle is around 12 degrees.

Does anyone know if the gearbox or the engine in the RX4 was canted or angled or slanted from the ground by around 12 degrees?

thanks,
Ron

yes, if you are say that the trans is titled, I have one dont seem to remeber if it is the rite or left it is tilted to, but the engine it's self is not tilted

Thanks, I was hoping that it was the tranny that was slanted. (sorry about the intial doube post)

Ron
