Rotary Powered Miata How To?

I am looking for any information on how to put a 13b into a 1st get, 1994-1997 Miata. I read somewhere about a guy in Japan who had a shop where he did it all the time, though obviously living in CA prevents that as an option. However, I have heard it is quite simple to do assuming you can get the adapters and mounts. I don't know off hand how much it bolt up, and how much is special stuff you would need to buy. Any information would be very helpful.

I've done it. Not to hard at all.
You'll need to section/cut the K member and weld in a tube to make room for the oil pan. Custom oil pan as well as custom pickup.

12A front mounting cover, make a front mount. Make a rear mount that bolts to trans. Presto, it's in the car. Mine sits pretty damn low. Low enough I didn't even have to ding the firewall for the TII clutch slave cylinder. LOTS of people say it's so damn hard. I don't see what is so hard about it?

Keep in mind, I'm BP, high RPM no turbo. I suppose fitting a snail down there would take a bit more work, but nothing major. My motor cost me ~$100 worth of tube and angle to make mounts for. Since I did all the labor myself, it was "Free".

Mazsport makes a kit. $4000 ?!?!?! for it as well. Not sure why it's so much, but I suppose he has the market cornered on that one. Seriously, it cost me less than 100$ to bolt the thing in.

PM me if you have any questions. I'd be glad to help.
