this is my two motorcycles i hope you enjoy them

darktritium 03-21-07 10:53 PM

I'm completely amazed. I never new they actually did this. NICE!

vaughnc 03-22-07 01:18 PM

Very Nice. BTW - if you find an RE-5 or similar rotary bike for cheap ($500-$700), let me know. Non-running is fine, just decent shape.

13b4me 03-22-07 01:35 PM

I would love a Norton F1. Mmmm. :)

Wankelguy 03-22-07 01:39 PM

Nice RE5!
This one was a local bike that was sold on eBay recently. I think it brought $3,500 IIRC.

There was also a bitchin' Hercules rotary-powered bike that was in Eugene and got sold on eBay last Summer but I don't have a pic of that one unfortunately.

Here's a pic of the '74 suzuki GT250 I just bought about a month ago. I'm currently detailing the hell out of it and it ought to be really nice when it's done.

And my ultra-cherry '77 Yamaha RD400, the pic doesn't even do it justice.

I WANT AN RE-5...
im not a bike person by anymeans, but that bike makes me want to learn how :)

Naegleria_Fowleri 03-22-07 03:43 PM

Mmmm Got to love some of them RE-5's.

Those Weber's look enormous! 51mm?

no_name 03-22-07 06:08 PM

I want to build a race bike out of an re-5 lol. I have a bad fixation with racing. I want to race everything lol.

Judging by the carbs, I'd say it's probably bridgeported. 51mm Weber's would be overkill on a stock port engine.

gonna have to make a call to the guys at mazdatrix, I need a price for this thing

moonless 03-25-07 09:53 AM

fcdrifter13 I can't remmber exactly what the model was but the re5 shared its part with a piston sister bike. as long as you got a good frame as well do a search on googgle I found a lot of info last summer on the re5 or get with your local classic bike salvager they come across hard to find bikes all the time. My dad is been restoring classic jap sport bikes for as long as I've been born and gets a lot of parts that way

I need to get my cam fixed so I can take some updated pics and a vid of it runing after sitting under a pile of brush for 10-20 years.

slo 03-26-07 01:41 AM

even if the frame is rusted badly it can be repaired, its just tube mild steel, in the process you could even do some gusseting to improve it some, 70's mc frames suck donkey balls.

there are many bikes you could borrow a front end and swingarm from, to improve the bike from stock without making it look different, its easy machine work, I have a zx11 arm fitted to my gpz

Here's my '75. $300 at a local salvage auction (outside of auction).

karism 03-27-07 08:04 AM

Would love to have one of those one day!

Thanks for the photos
