rebuilding the dcoe?

I was gonna tackle the dcoe. I have to get a rebuild kit. I have the rebuilding webers by haynes. I would also like to boost prep it to about 10lbs. Any thought or suggestions.

I contacted robert at rotary shack and he quoted me $60 for it to be turbo prepped. I wrote back and asked about a rebuild and the prepping and he hasn't wrote back. 60 is a good price but I need it completely torn down. It runs good now but the seals are looking like they are gonna leak anyday now.

Please any extra info would be appreicated. I seen the rebuild kits from cb. I have used redline before for them also.

Matt it should be running and moving in the next few months unless I get this carb pulled and rebuilt. I better do it now because I got my wrap around intake the other day and I have to pull it to swap the carbs anyhow.

You can get a rebuild kit from racetep.com for just over $30. Thats about what I paid local for my 48DCO.
I think it took me about an hour to completely disassemble the carb and put it back together. Total there are I believe 3 gaskets and about 10 o-rings, very simple.

I dont know what is involved in prepping for a turbo though.

Turbo-prepping is just tapping a hole in the bowl and plumbing it to the manifold (or runners) so the bowl sees boost rather than atmosphere. Otherwise, you'd blow fuel backwards out the jets when you boosted, and might run a little lean.
