Question: To all of those who have done a Rotary engine into a B-Series PU

What is needed to do the entire swap into lets say a 87 B2600 PU.

The driveshaft bolts right in? Any engine mounts needed?

The engine mount depends on the year of the engine you're using. 85 and earlier rotaries used a brace that goes across the front of the front cover of the engine. 86 and later cars have the engine mounts on the intermediate housing, right in the middle of the block. You'd want to take a tape measure and look at where your mounts would be and decide what mounts to use after that.

Ill have to check into that. Im just super curious since I found a 87 B2600 (or B2200) with a blown engine and I could find a NA tranny and engine with all the other stuff for pretty cheap. I think it would be fun even without alot of functionality.

It's really just a matter of what fits better where. You could even put an older front cover on an 86-up engine and have your choice of mounts. Do you already have an engine sourced?

dan atkins has done this, i think he used a mount of an SA and turned it upside down and it fit perfect

drive shaft needs to be custom

he has a supercharged 88 i believe
