Planing to build a 12a 4rotor

We are planing to build a 12a 4rotor engine, We are going to build all the customparts by ourself, Shaft etc,

I have all the engineparts like rotors, housing etc,

the first problem is how to build the e-shaft, Today i work in a company that build
shafts, So there is alot of knowledge in building shafts.

Our problem is that we dont know how to design the shaft, Is there anyone that can help us whit that.

Does anyone have any sketches or blueprints on a shaft?

http://www.autotechmotorsports.com/product-shafts.htm Someone already makes one but I don't know what the cost is. I saw the car at Sevenstock8 and was very impressed with the work they had done with the car. It was in a 1993 FD3S RX7. I would have liked to have heard the engine run.

I have seen it on internet, its to expensive for us to buy, since i have acces to cnc machines that can build a shaft, its much cheaper this way

would't you basically want it to operate similar to a piston engine, for the sake of shaking? Like, the rear and front rotor are in the compression stage at the same time, and the two middle rotors are in compression at the same time. Otherwise the engine will end up being unbalanced and it would shake like a leaf on a tree.

One rotor face every 90° will give the engine that awesome 4 rotor sound.

thanks, we are going to do that,

Our problem is the conection between the three parts, does anyone know how to do this

banzaitoyota 11-03-05 08:34 AM

My suggestion, obtain a 20 E-Shaft and replicate/retro-engineer Mazda's work

What sort of info are you looking for? I don't have the blue prints or anything... and I am sure that Lloyd won't be dishing out all of his hard work for nothing. There is a place in Auckland New Zealand that makes cranks - Precision Engineering (they are sent all around the world), but only if you are interested in buying (again I think that the cranks are based on 13b rotors). Or in the UK Hurley engineering made a variety of 12a multi-engined cranks, but you will need to pay...

re10, we like to have some sketches to see how we need to build the shaft,

iam not intrested in buying a shaft because i have acces to the equipment to make one

this projekt is going to be expensive so we dont want to pay more for parts then we need, but if someone have some bluprints etc for sale i will pay
