My 1970 r100 project!
This is my future project! my best friends dad was an old school rotary engineer back in the day! He obtained two r100's and turned one into a NHRA drag car which he won three Wally's with. The second one he drove as a daily til it finally quit on him. I'm getting the daily driven one. I've been told that these r100 were only sold west of the rocky s and that there pretty rare! I'm excited about this project! however, you know how GM has "year one" does Mazda have a company like that to help me restore this project? also I'm debating where to go stick with the 10A motor and do a complete restore or mini tub it and put my TII motor and trans in? I'll post some more pic's up later.

http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...IMG00084-1.jpg well good luck with the project. If you want to go all original id say go for it, but unless you have all or most of the parts to have a complete car it wont be easy. when it comes to the 10A, depending on the housings and who does the work on the motor is what will say if its possible or not. Unfortunatly Mazda does not have a company like year one so your best bet is to look around on forums, craigslist, and ebay for parts. also Australia has a larger market for these cars so you may find parts from Australia. oh and if you take any glass off the car be very careful because glass is nearly impossible to find. besides that good luck on the project and keep us updated:icon_tup: |
thanks bro! yea i don't think i'll pull the glass unless i have to. first thing i want to take care of is the rust -_-`
|
poor car why did he leave it like that :(
|
That's going to be a pretty sweet ride, it just need some loving care and time. Good luck with your project!

Hey man NICE find, If you go with the 13b would you sell me the old 10A? I would like to have the twin dissy motor. Hope It all goes good for ya .
|
Keeping it original would depend on condition and how original it is. 10A parts can be found if you look around, or know who to talk to.
Luv to see more pics. PM sent. |
update this with more pics after its pulled out i wanna see!

want to sell?? lol jk

I'd put the turbo motor in if your going to need to change the 10a. Will be easier to get motor parts etc. Power to weight ratio would be mean too!!!
Good luck with the car tho, does it have the round front lights or the square?? |
