Look what I got after JCCS
 

I got a call on wednesday before JCCS asking me if I wanted another Corolla from a forum member over at 3TC. I told the guy no at first, but then changed that and asked him what year. He replied with a screwed up description of the car, but a rediculous asking price that I couldn't pass up. "Even if it was to just take a look." My jaw dropped when I found this car sitting there. I tried to hide my excitement as best I could, but didn't do a very good job. The seller still practially gave me the car and I called AAA to pull it out.

This car will be getting a 13B streetport motor and Turbo II tranny that I couldn't sell. I've got some Aerospace component brakes for the front and centerline REV's already. I just need to get the car over to ISLANDSNOW to help me with the motor mounts and we'll be rocking and rolling here. I hope to have it running in the very near future and will update this thread accordingly. Til there here are the pictures of my find.

If it was an R100 I would have left it there. To be honest with you the R100 is an ugly little car. I can't stand them at all. I would only get one of those to sell it.
Oh and the RX-3 is still tucked safely in my Garage. Not going any where.

I'm guessing he'll be selling the RX3 just so he can keep this friggin' Toyota. Either that or the REPU; if he hasn't already cut one of them loose. BTW: I saw the blue RX4 coupe on eBay the other day for sale by the guy PERTANO sold it to.

Let's get a pool going for whoever can guess the date the RX3 goes for sale because the Toyota gets top billing!!! :rlaugh:

If you had a keen eye you have noticed that there is no REPU on the driveway next to the Corolla. Yep, it's already gone. The RX-3 is however not going anywhere as previously stated. It's past the 3 month mark so it'll be safe for a little while longer. If I sell a car it's usually in the first 3 months. Just a fact.

screw the rotary.... that needs a stroked 2TG

Why not just put a 3T in it then? Saves you a ton of money. But then again a 3TC is still a tight fit. so that is why it's getting a Rotary. :lol: :lol:

The original motor was rumored to have cracked the block. I got it running yesterday. :icon_no2: :icon_no2:

But I'm still putting the bridgeport 13b that I have in it. This car is begging for a rotary engine.

How much is that house for sale on the left?

It's not for sale. It's up for lease. My old neighbors moved to Chicago and kept the house as a rental. They made pretty good money so I guess they can afford to have more then a few houses. I think they own another one somewhere else. Nice houes though. Has a pool and everything.

yo mang!! there is a running 74 corolla with a rebuilt motor at pick a part off Milliken. body is a lil rough but there arent missing pieces. they wanted $800 for it.

I think i've seen it already. Kind of a primered red color with thrashed quarter panels? The car is a KE20 though and not even worth 800 IMO. Last time I saw it they wanted 1400 for it. guess they've come off that price some. :lol: :lol:

There was one of those but a station wagon 3 doors, at the local parts yard!

Not at all about the attention. The game changer on this car was when I put it on the street. I got the car running and driving and then drove it around for a few hours last weekend. F*CK that!!!! It's way too small and scared the hell out of me. It felt like it has no substance to it. Very Very small car. I almost got ran over by a Tacoma right here on Rochester. I thought about that and putting my Son in a car this small and decided it wasn't right for me or the family.

After that I put the Celica rear in the Rx-3 and started pulling the 12A out of it. I should have the Bridgeport in the Rx-3 this weekend.

This Sprinter was a great idea, but I'm glad I got it running and driveable before I dumped any more money into it. And if I was only about the flip on this car it wouldnt' have gotten a new radiator, new hoses, new front "Aerospace Component" brakes, 15x4 Centerline wheels and a few other parts.

But think of me how you like. I just wanted to set the record straight on this one. I still love you guys.

Oh and the guy who bought the RX-4 is a Marine Corporal who is getting deployed. Very Cool kid though.

^yeah, I noticed the eBay add said he was in Camp Pendleton. I used to be a Marine Corporal stationed at Camp Pendleton myself so I have some sympathy for the guy. One of my old Marine buddies still lives in Oceanside and has wanted an RX4 forever, so I need to pass this info to him.

BTW: I'm no big fan of those early Sprinter's anyhow, glad you're keeping the tre. IMO the best part of the car is the blank & yellow plates.

I know the heartache of deploying too bro. 4 years with 2nd Battalion 5th Marines then another 6 years with VMFA-232 and VMFAT-101 in Miramar. All good times, but alot of time away. Still don't regret one minute of it. Loved the Corps!!!!

But yeah I don't take offense to you guys. I get worse from the toyota guys. They pretty tired of me posting cars up for sale, but I tell them like this. I put my money out to save these damn things from various places that I find them. Then sell them at a fair price. I dont' gouge anyone and the car always leaves in better condition then I found it.

I'll mos definitely give you that man. You always ask a fair price for your rides, I don't see you trying to price gouge anyone and you do leave them better than you found them. :icon_tup:

Mirimar? Man, I always wanted to get stationed there! I was in the air-wing at MWSS-171 Iwakuni and had the time of my life there. Did one year in Pendleton with Maintenance Battalion before getting deployed to Kuwait and then crossed the border into OIF1 on Feb 2003. Yep, I have more love for the Corps now than when I was actually in; crazy how that happens.

That 7 second car is a full tube chassis car and it's wrecked now. I figure you're talking about "The Clubman" right. Then there is a 9 second car right around the corner from me over here that has a full cage in it and doesn't see the street.

I'm talking about a car to put my family in and go to shows and beat around on the street. it's not a matter of balls there guy. It's brains. And yeah I have enough of them to know it's not a good idea. Apparently you don't though not knowing the difference between a track car and a street car. :lol: :lol:

Yeah the 61 Unibody. We're taking it down tommorrow to get exhaust. Once I get that done I'll snap some better pictures of it. Right now it's been dirty, rained on and in poor light. Hopefully tommorrow will work out better for it. Still debating on mufflers and pipe size, but I'm leaning towards 3 inch and 50 series flowmasters.

Ultimate Jay. I know everyone's messing with me right now. It's all in good fun. And this car wasn't intended to be a family car, but with a 3 year old boy that things the world of you, and wants to be by your side all the time it makes you think. This car just wasn't the right choice. Not that any of these cars are any safer, but the wheel base and lack of weight alone where what forced my decision. I feel much safer sticking him in a stock 78 Corolla or the RX-3.

The Sprinter just feels like a tin can. Until you get in it, I guess you won't understand.
