I can't seem to find what bucket seat that may be best to install into a REPU, anyone have any luck with this that also uses the forward and back seat bracket?

The previous owner put first gen RX-7 seats in my 1977. It take a lot of rail design but pretty easy. One side of each seat take a lot more height then the other.

My father just installed some universal buckets in his K5 Blazer. He used the included rails and bolted them down to 5 inch spacers made of cold rolled steel that were welded to the body. He then welded sheet metal around the 4 posts/spacers with a hinge on the front part closest to the foot box. New seats and more storage! You for sure don't have the same space as he does but I'm sure with proper measuring it will work.

I installed some bucket seats in my repu , they were racetech low backs for a cobra replica . I used the repu bench seat tracks and did some modifications . It was pretty easy and looked good . The only draw back was that both seats adjusted as one . The plus was there were no new holes drilled in the repu, only factory holes were used .

I used Wedge seat brackets to install my buckets;

Just look up your year of Ford Courier. I did have to drill a few holes to make them work but overall very solid.

KansasCityREPU is right about the height difference on one side vs. the other. Not a big deal though. The PO of my truck fitted it with fd3s seats and they fit great. Sadly, the PO also only bolted down 1 side of the passenger seat and put a block of wood under the other side to even it out...

I'll be remounting that seat along with the driver side in hopes of dropping them about an inch. I'll take pics when I make the brackets.

I checked mine and they used what looks like 2" square tube to make up the difference. They then used some 2" x 1/4" flat stock to attach the factory seat rails to the 2" tube. Not sure I like the design. When I reinstall them I'm going to get them as low as possible to make more leg room. As we all know, these trucks are a little cramped, especially if you're 6' or taller.

Wedge Brackets as mentioned above is the absolute best way to go. There may be cheaper ways to do it but none better. Its a factory fit. Great customer service also.

With the Wedge brackets and buckets I actually have pretty good headroom. I would guess I sit at least 3” lower than the stock bench. The wedge brackets really put the seat on the floor. I could get even another 1.5” if I removed the sliders. I’m 6’6” and I manage to squeeze in there with headroom.

I ended up removing the factory bench seat brace to get the seat as low as possible. I am 6'1". Welded nut plates to the floor and bolting e21 BMW Recaro's. I custom made seat brackets to attach the e30 rails to the Recaro's.

Thanks for the pics, that gives me some idea as in direction to go. I'm 5'10" and would like to have a taller seat from a modern truck maybe. I have a 2017 Nissan Titan XD Diesel and I like to have the seat up as high as I can get it since I have shoulder issues and rest my arm on the door armrest to take the stress off it.

I have CRX lower seats in my 75 on brackets that I made. As for the back support, my truck has full carperting including the rear firewall so I used some industrial strength velcro tape to attach some rear pads that are for office chairs. It's actually really comfortable and I have a ton of more room. I sit lower then the bench and just feel better overall then the bench seat.
