Godzilla Defence Force Rx2

It's about time to start of a little thread of my project.

As some of you perhaps know i bought the Godzilla Defence Force Rx2 from Trainwreck517 here on rx7club in 2007. The car was shipped to norway where it`s now beeing renovated.

The whole time the plan was to renovate the car beneath and inside but at the same time keep the original godzilla paint theme.

So the car was stripped inside and all thats left there now is the dashboard. And the sanding started. Now i hope to be finished cleaning all of the old paint,primer and insulation in this first week of january. Then the car would be primed, painted and fitted with a new custom interior in black leather, with green and red embroidering of the godzilla theme. in the back of all seats.

Here are some pictures.

I might as well tell that a new dashbord is beeing casted in carbon fibre including the door pannels. Pictures of that would come.

Im also going to renovate the entire undercarriage of the car and the rear trunk. where the floor is rusted so mutch that im changing it.

Also thinking about removing the engine and clean up everything there as well.

Hope you guys like the project. I will try to update this thread as frequently as posible.

One last thing. Im sorry if my english i bad. Norwegian here.

Looking good.

Don't worry about your English, it's great. Most people here speak "American" and even do that poorly!

I love when people apologize for their English, yet they speak it better than half the people on here who's native language is English. :icon_tup:

Congrats on buying that car. Its been one of my favorites on here. I'm glad you keeping the Godzilla Defense Force theme. :) Good luck! I love the project!

I am in the middle of the repair of my windshield also, look at the progress of my repairs

bisQuit 01-02-08 03:19 PM

Today i ordered some new parts from that hopefully would be here by the end of the month.

* Stewart Warner Competition gauges
* Painless Performance 18circuit harness
* Painless performance panel (start,ignition,fuelpump, etc etc)
* New mirrors

Also worked some more on the windshield figuring out how to get it out. It`s glued so hard that i guess i just have to break it into debris.

Did also order me some more sealer for the weekend when i am due to spray the car inside if im finished the cleaning.

Pictures would be up later.

I guess so but its kind of nice to collect anything you find in new cars. Especially them from a diferent country.

Anyways.

Have been so much to do at work lately that it has been little time to work on the car. But here is a little update on the progress.

Removed the windshield to weld the rust thats there but havent realy got to it yet.

Got abit further inside the car so have removed the roof cover and smeared some rust sealer on it just to be on the safe side when im working on something else.

Also got time to put some sealer on the places that i was finished sanding down.

I had the same problem, but then noticed how old the posts were. Probably the site the pics were hosted on is no longer or something.
