Gatorade Rx3 Pics
 

Had the opportunity to see the old Gatorade sponsored IMSA \car yesterday so I snapped a few pictures. A buddy of mine is working with Downing restoring the car.

I am more interested in the construction aspects so sorry if the pictures seem a bit focussed on wired stuff.

Sweet! I had a feeling there were some cool cars inside.

It's great that at least one was saved... shame about the other one. Is it being modernised - that's not the 'period' gearbox for the car.

Thanks for sharing Billy! Jim had told me that he would be getting underway on this ride soon. Good to see it moving along. The funny thing is there are 3 or so other folks in the USA who claim to have an original Daytona GATORADE RX-3.

You can definitely see the factory race touches in this RX-3.

Bern, no problem. I knew others would appreciate the pics. I picked up a few parts to powder coat for the car as well. I have been wanting to stop by to see what was underneath the bodywork on this thing for a while.

I was going through around 30 pictures from when the car was active. Was not allowed borrow them for scanning. I will see what I can do about getting down there one day to scan them.
