so it comes to my interest that toyota is coming back out with the supra, they got the skyline gt-r in concept, camaro, nissans 350z is out, and many other cars are reappearing.

if they build the next 7, what do you think mazda will do with some of the engine options? turbo?DI? increased displacement? hydrogen?

my friend (he is a machinist) drives the new direct inject turbo gti, we seem to always bring up installing a direct inject system on a rotary engine. is this possible? what would have to be done? would your mpg be increased with the correct tuning?

i personally don't believe the rx7 will return. the new redesign into the rx8 will carry on the rotary tradition. it too will have several redesigns during it's duration, how ever long that will be.

direct injection is already being used on the rotary.

there are reports now surfacing that the 4th gen 7 is on the the drawing board. I guess we will have to wait and see what really happens. expected to be in production at 2010 - 11.

I hear the new Rx7 will have a 16C rotary that is good for 300hp.

what rotary uses the direct inject? the rx8? i would think that it would be very beneficial to atomize the fuel. i have heard of concept turbo charging systems that atomize the fuel with a turbine, i will see if i can find the link, my friend was describing its very complex design, needless to say it was incredibly fuel efficient.

16c rotary sounds nice, i would be happy with a NA 300HP rotary from the factory, but really wish they could work on designing the impossible, an economical 3 rotor.

i think another cool design would be a scaled down turbo 4 rotor maybe half to 3/4's the size of what it is now...."what redline???" that would be a rocket on wheels.

shit, i hope they will not put that as rx7. they should put it as rx9 or something. so our car have more value.
