Flasher Unit for RX2

So my turn signals do not flash anymore and I have traced this to the little box under the dash on the passenger side marked something like "Flasher Unit" I figured I may be able to find one of these at a local auto parts, but no dice. Any ideas on where to find one or how to refurb?

The thing on the right hand side is only the Light Checker - it will buzz when a bulb is out (or alternator output is really low). The thing that actually controls the blinking is under the dashboard, above the pedals, on the drivers side.

You'll have to find someone with a parts car who can sell you a known good. It's offcially called the "Turn Signal Relay". Mine failed and I was able to find one from a guy who was selling a bunch of parts on eBay. he pulled it from the car and sold it for $15. Worked like a charm . . .

if you are positive it's the light checker that is faulty, I have a bunch. $5 each, but I'm pretty sure the checker isn't your problem. THere are 2 of those by the way, one for each side.

Can't you just use any flasher? I know I've seen all those goofy aftermarket ones that flash super fast, seems like you could just adapt anything to work.
